“The Nadeshiko” Solo Exhibition by FIN DAC
(Venice, CA) C.A.V.E. Gallery is proud to present “The Nadeshiko” – the debut solo exhibition by UK artist Fin DAC.
Attention and accolades for Fin DAC’s urban art have exploded internationally. Known around the world for his epic murals of highly stylized females muses – “The Nadeshiko” will be the first time a collection of new original canvases – inspired by Fin DAC’s most memorable and iconic murals – will be exhibited in one place.
Fin DAC has spent the majority of recent years traveling around the globe creating heroic murals of exotic and mysterious female muses. His unique aerosol/stencil style has brought a new dynamic to the visual language of street art.
These stunning portrait murals – with their captivating gazes – have been spotted glancing over cities across the European, North American, South American and Asian continents. As soon as the work completed the images go viral instantly with eager fans worldwide.
“The Nadeshiko” is an unprecedented exhibition: spectacular new canvases inspired by Fin DAC’s most famous urban art pieces – including “Killer Instinct”, “Canine Feline” and “Nadeshiko” – showcased side by side. These canvas works have been created with an incredible attention to detail, striking color palettes and patterns. The artist has also created two special pieces on reclaimed, beautifully textured cement panels that embody a unique essence of the artist’s urban work. Also included in this exhibition is a one-of-a-kind mosaic created by Musivaria Mosaics of Italy of Fin DAC’s “Vergiss”.
This show should not be missed – please join us for the opening.
Hailing from Cork in Ireland, Fin DAC has lived most of his life in and around London. Self-taught, his influences range from dark graphic novels to the works of Francis Bacon and Aubrey Beardsley. He calls his artistic style and technique ‘Urban Aesthetics': a modern-day take on the ‘Aesthetic’ movement of the 19th century.
